Summer camp isn’t just a place for students to go when school is out; it’s an opportunity to enrich and foster a child’s sense of adventure, imagination, and curiosity. This is why EDMO is offering an opportunity for BIPOC-identifying kids to attend one week of camp in-person for FREE.
Through the generosity of Butchershop’s Equity for Equality initiative, BIPOC-identifying kids, who may not otherwise be able to afford camp, can experience a life-changing summer at Camp EDMO. Equity for Equality is a movement for collective action in the creative industry to directly impact, through donations, organizations working toward diversity, equality and inclusion in the fields of design, art, STEM, entrepreneurship, and environmental justice in the BIPOC community.
Camp EDMO cultivates a summer experience where getting messy and making mistakes are celebrated. Kids in Pre-K to 8th grade are invited to bring their whole selves for summer programming that focuses on STEAM themed hands-on learning, building social connections, and having the most fun imaginable. From art, to design, science, coding, and music, Camp EDMO encourages students to explore the world around them and discover something new in the process.
In addition to providing kids with invaluable and unforgettable summer experiences, Camp EDMO is committed to making camp accessible for all kids. Through a variety of financial aid programs, partnerships, and donations, Camp EDMO is fulfilling the mission of providing more opportunities for students of all ages and backgrounds to engage in a summer filled with curiosity, excitement, and learning.
