Custom Workshop Series + Executive Coaching

The George Kaiser Family Foundation partnered with Matterlab to enhance strategic communications and storytelling for its Birth through Eight Strategy in Tulsa, improving grantees' operations, talent management, and marketing.

The Challenge

The George Kaiser Family Foundation sought a partnership with Matterlab to further support its Birth through Eight Strategy for Tulsa, a best-in-class set of services for children and families across the city, to improve strategic communications throughout their organizations.

The Approach

The Foundation has partnered with Matterlab over many years as it has built its grantees. Together, we developed a learning series to help grantees strengthen their storytelling skills to benefit several areas of their organizations: operations, talent management, and marketing. These interactive, hands-on, and practical sessions guide participants through developing strong narratives that will drive their missions forward.

This included:

  • Design and execution of a learning engagement centered around the theme of organizational storytelling
  • Curriculum and materials development
  • Executive coaching

The Results

  • 100% of participants agreed that the workshop was relevant to their professional responsibilities and/or learning goals.
  • 100% of participants agreed that the workshop equipped them with insights to bring back to their teams.
“The objectives were achieved to the greatest extent. There was a great overview prior with structure throughout and thoughtful, mind-provoking collaboration opportunities.”
